Google· 4y ago· 2 reviewsDONT DO IT!!!! USE SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOUR QUINCE DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I went to Ms. Lawrene In hopes that she would help my daughter with her dance routine for her upcoming Quince. HUGE MISTAKE!!! She was always late, very unorganized, rude, cancelled classes with out consulting with me and all over the place when it came to the choreography. She blamed the group for everything that went wrong and never took responsibility. I would not recommend anyone to use her for Quince dance routines. She does not know what she is doing. I stand by what I said previously you may be able to teach toddlers and do well in competing with them but that has nothing to do with you being able to teach Quinceanera dance routines!!! The girls were not disrespectful you were rude!!! You would yell at them for asking simple questions and for not being able to follow your confusing foot work. And In response to girls not learning the routine it is because you don't know how to teach. What you couldn't teach these girls in 3 weeks (including the hand movements you told them to learn at home by themselves even though I was paying you) they learned in two 1 hour sessions with Janet Martinez who was a better choreographer that was very organized, never late, she loved the girls(SO MUCH THAT SHE ATTENED THE QUINCE THIS PAST WEEKEND TO WATCH THEM SHINE), and she actually used count steps instead of guessing and then expecting the girls to remember. SO THANK YOU FOR DOING SUCH A HORRIBLE JOB BECAUSE THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE MET JANET MARTINEZ WHO IS THE BEST CHOREOGRAPHER/ZUMBA/YOGA TEACHER EVER!!!

Response from Cinderella School of Dance
In 35 years teaching, I have never experienced a group so disrespectful, judgemental and unwilling to do their part. My work speaks for itself with 15+ Quinceanera customers more than satisfied. Cinderella has been serving South Texas for 50 yrs - my reputation proceeds me. In 3 weeks of rehearsals there was NO progress. They refused to follow my direction/instruction & I chose to terminate services rather than accept another payment for services I can not provide to an unreceptive know it all. I stand behind my decision. In the future, when hiring a professional, I suggest you allow them to do their job - especially in a feild of expertise in which you have no knowledge or experience. Learning a routine takes time and commitment - it doesn't happen by itself and no one can do it for you. I provided the instruction and information and it was ignored. I provided videos, music and graphics for rehearsal outside the studio and it was completely disregarded. Not one person remembered any of my instruction week to week, not one person took the time to even look at any of the videos or materials provided and after 21 days not one person knew ANY part of the routines. The customer paid for 3 hours and received 3.5 hours - I put in 30 minutes of extra time at no charge going over formations and choreography and the group was still completely lost. I did all that I could to help them succeed and achieve their goal only to have my instructions ignored and to be disrespected in my place of business. I did my part and went above and beyond what her $125 paid for.
