• “I was a student at Dance With Me Katy for over a year. I enjoyed the variety of dances they offer, a group of students that attend regularly is great and I loved Aneya, a gracious and amazing instructor, Ben is also terrific , I only had one lesson with him. As time went on, though, the vibe changed—some instructors and students left, and I noticed recognition seemed tied more to private lesson purchases than skill. After a showcase where my dance was ignored on their social media, while every single student was recognized one way or the other, I voiced my concerns. It seemed either the feedback I was getting about my skill level was not authentic or my pockets weren’t deep enough to be recognized.. Still, I gave it another shot—planning an Argentine tango showcase. After buying six private lessons and ONLY after I’d taken two, was I told about an additional $695 participation fee. The fee felt less like a reasonable cost and more like it was driven by either greed or an inflated sense of prestige ? They called it “production “ and said there will be dinner! Unless Gordon Ramsey is plating my food, I still don’t get it, but hey, what do I know about “productions”?! The lack of transparency is what did it for me, that’s when I knew I can no longer stay with a studio. I had a conversation with the owner about it and he said “I thought I told you about it!” .. Not before I started taking private lessons and working on the routine. We agreed to part ways on a good terms and he said he will issue me a refund, a week went by and nothing. I’m sure he’ll say he was very, very busy. Just like the rest of adults in this world. So at the end, I reversed the charges on credit card …I’ll let whoever reads this review to draw its own conclusions… So, if you’re considering it—ask all the details ahead of time! My 3 stars are one for each - Aneya, Marina and Arthur who left the studio unfortunately”
