  Metta Dance Collective with Carina and Denver has truly been a rewarding experience for me. I started in their class about 9 months ago and have learned so much from them; not only related to bachata but also the power of community-building. They have been very intentionally in creating opportunities outside dance class to build relationships with themselves and other dancers. Carina has created a fun and safe environment for dancers to learn and grow in their skill level. I am so grateful I discovered Metta and would recommend them for anyone interested in learning bachata!

  Metta is where it’s at! Wonderful bachata instruction as well as a wonderful community. Everything they do is very intentional and it shows from their teaching style to how they make it easier for us to bond with each other and make it safer to learn especially for complete newbies. I cannot recommend Metta enough. The classes are amazing, very informative, easy to follow and go by super fast because they’re always so much fun!

  My favorite bachata classes and instructor(s) in Santa Fe. I can really tell that the instruction is geared towards helping students become well-rounded dancers. We don't just learn a bunch of moves to execute, we are encouraged to take them as lego blocks and build them in a way that works for us. There is always a focus on good technique and communication between lead and follow. Not only that, but the Metta community itself is very inviting. Dance can be really scary to get into, but everyone here was so warm and inviting from the first day. They even have monthly get-togethers just for students and instructors to get to know eachother and actually build something outside of just dancing. Highly recommend this place!

  The Bachata classes are so fun and addictive, it's obvious the instructors love what they do because I'm addicted to the energy and vibe of the space and classes!
