Sácala es una de las primeras llamadas de salida que aprende un bailador de casino: una manera simple y neutral de separar a la pareja del vaivén cerrado y llevarla hacia la posición abierta. Pertenece al casino y a su forma circular, la rueda de casino — el baile de pareja cubano en el que un caller anuncia una figura que todas las parejas ejecutan al unísono — y funciona como pieza fundamental, entrenando al líder para conducir a la seguidora fuera del básico sin perder la conexión. Ese mismo movimiento de extracción sirve de base para la familia de figuras de cambio de pareja, por lo que la llamada se practica en todos los lugares donde se enseña casino.
La llamada. La figura toma su nombre del imperativo sácala — el verbo sacar («llevar o hacer salir»), más el clítico femenino la, que representa a la dama (la seguidora); los callers suelen pronunciar la forma hablada más completa saca la dama. El imperativo es una forma antigua, atestiguada en la prosa española del siglo XVIII en la frase sácala a luz.[1] En una rueda ruidosa, la llamada hablada se refuerza habitualmente con una señal de mano para que todas las parejas la capten al mismo tiempo.
Ejecución. Sácala se baila desde el básico guapea — el paso de retroceso del casino en el que el líder y la seguidora se miran de frente en postura abierta. Manteniendo la conexión de manos enlazadas, el líder abre el marco en el break y conduce a la seguidora fuera del vaivén y cruzando por delante de él hacia la posición abierta, donde ella avanza y gira para volver a quedar frente a él, lista para la siguiente llamada. Las escenas internacionales suelen bailarlo a tiempo, marcando en el tiempo fuerte; muchos bailadores cubanos marcan contratiempo, en el tiempo débil.
Como llamada elemental de nivel inicial, sácala se sitúa junto al básico guapea en el vocabulario central del casino y lleva directamente a figuras de cambio de pareja como dame.

Líder
From guapea, break back on the left foot on 1 (the follower mirrors back on her right), opening the frame; settle the joined-hand connection on 2-3. On the next measure (5-6-7), draw the follower out of the basic and across the front, stepping aside to clear her path, and lead her to walk out and turn so she re-faces by 7. Keep the connected hand light — guide the walk, do not steer.
Seguidor
Break back on the right foot on 1 (mirror of the leader's left), staying connected and grounded on 2-3. As the lead opens on 5, walk forward out of the basic across the opening on 5-6-7, turning about a half-turn total — roughly a quarter as the step out begins, completing to re-face the leader by 7. Travel only on the lead; in a rueda the timing is set by the call.
Tiempo musicalComfortable in son-derived and timba-driven casino at roughly 150-185 bpm, danced a tiempo on the downbeat; slower son montuno (~150-160 bpm) gives the cleanest walk-out. It stays workable into the high-180s, with 190+ bpm the fast end where the lead-out must be kept compact.

Errores comunes
- Follower anticipating the lead-out and walking before the connection opens, breaking rueda synchrony.
- Leader failing to step aside on 5, crowding the follower's exit so she cannot travel cleanly.
- Under-rotating the exit — leaving the follower side-on instead of completing her to re-face by 7.
- Gripping the connected hand and steering the walk rather than leading it lightly.
- Drifting off the a-tiempo break (breaking late or on the wrong beat) so the couple desyncs from the wheel.

Movimientos que se confunden
- Sacada — an Argentine-tango displacement of a partner's leg or space; unrelated mechanic despite the shared 'sacar' root.
- Vacila — a separate casino call in which the leader showcases the follower; often confused as another send-out.
- Dame — a partner-change call, not a lead-out of the same partner.
- 'Paso cruzado' / 'cruzado' and similar footwork terms — describe steps, not this rueda call.
- Spanish 'sácala a luz' ('publish it / bring it to light') — same word form, unrelated to dance.
