Dile Que No — español para “dile que no” — es la figura resolutiva fundacional del casino cubano (salsa cubana) y de su danza matriz más antigua, el son. Más que una sola vuelta, es el movimiento al que una pareja vuelve una y otra vez: intercambia las posiciones de los integrantes de la pareja y los lleva de regreso a casa en un abrazo cerrado, lo que la convierte tanto en el “reinicio” predeterminado de casino entre patrones como en una de las primeras figuras que aprende un principiante.[1]
El camino y el intercambio
La figura comienza desde una posición abierta o de guapea. El líder da un paso atrás con el pie izquierdo para abrir un camino y eleva la conexión de la mano izquierda a través del cuerpo, invitando a la seguidora hacia adelante; la seguidora rompe hacia atrás con el pie derecho y luego camina hacia adelante por delante del líder mientras él pivota para apartarse del camino.[1] El desplazamiento describe un intercambio circular de aproximadamente 180°: la pareja se abre cerca de un cuarto de vuelta durante el primer compás y completa el intercambio durante el segundo, terminando frente a frente en posición cerrada.[2]
Tiempo y sensación
Debajo del desplazamiento, el trabajo de pies sigue la cuenta de ocho de casino, con cambios de peso en 1-2-3 y 5-6-7 y un tiempo sostenido — un toque o pausa en lugar de un cambio de peso — en 4 y 8.[2] Bailado en son, el idioma más lento y temprano, el mismo patrón se ejecuta a un tempo más relajado y más cerca del piso, lo que le da una cualidad más enraizada y pesada mientras la estructura de ocho tiempos permanece idéntica.[2]

In son the same count is taken more slowly and grounded; no separate On2 map applies (casino/son is circular, not slotted).
Líder
From open/guapea, step back on the left foot on 1 to open the door, raising the left-hand connection across the body to invite the follower forward; continue (right on 2, left on 3) while beginning a counter-clockwise pivot of about a quarter turn. On 5-6-7 step forward and across (right-left-right), completing the rotation to roughly 180° and closing to face the follower in casino embrace. Hold on 4 and 8.

Mirror the leader, opposite foot: break back on the right foot on 1 as the path opens (not forward), then walk forward through the opened space (left on 2, right on 3) across the leader's front. On 5-6-7 continue forward and turn to re-face the leader (left-right-left), arriving in closed position. Hold on 4 and 8.

Errores comunes
- Under-rotating: stopping short of the ~180° exchange so the couple ends offset instead of squarely facing in closed position
- Follower stepping forward on count 1 instead of breaking back first, crowding the leader and collapsing the opened path
- Pulling the follower across with the arm instead of clearing the path with the leader's own back-step and pivot
- Rushing through the held counts on 4 and 8, dropping the grounded son feel
- Dancing it as a linear slot move (LA cross-body lead) — casino's Dile Que No is circular and resolves to a closed embrace, not an open slot
