Sácala: la figura de exhibición de “sacarla” en el son cubano y el Casino

Sácala — del español sacar, “llevar hacia afuera” — es una de las figuras centrales de exhibición del Casino cubano y de la tradición más antigua del son de la cual desciende el Casino: el líder envía a la seguidora hacia afuera desde una toma de mano para presentarla y luego la atrae de regreso.[1] Su propósito es la exhibición más que el desplazamiento o el giro por sí mismos: la figura existe para que el líder pueda enmarcar y lucir a su pareja. Por esa razón, la mayoría de los maestros la tratan como idéntica a Exhíbela (“muéstrala”), y los dos llamados nombran la misma acción física, con Sácala enfatizando el envío hacia afuera y Exhíbela la exhibición.[1]
Como el Casino se baila en un marco circular y no en la línea fija de la salsa de Los Ángeles o Nueva York, la figura no sigue una trayectoria establecida. El líder abre su costado, extiende el brazo que guía y conduce a la seguidora por un breve recorrido hacia afuera mientras el básico de Casino sigue girando por debajo. Ella camina hacia afuera siguiendo la línea marcada, conserva su propio trabajo de pies y su timing, se presenta, luego vuelve a orientarse hacia el líder y regresa, resolviendo ya sea al básico o a un abrazo cerrado; toda la acción abarca aproximadamente un básico completo de Casino. Una versión limpia deja intactos los pasos y el timing de la seguidora mientras es guiada hacia afuera, con el líder proporcionando dirección sin apresurarla ni hacerla rotar en exceso.
En Rueda de Casino, Sácala es uno de los llamados estándar de la rueda, señalado mediante una seña manual específica para que quien canta pueda indicar la acción a todas las parejas al mismo tiempo.[2] Como solo exige una salida guiada limpia y un regreso, se encuentra entre las primeras figuras de exhibición que aprende un bailador/a de Casino, y circula dondequiera que se bailen Casino y son.
Cómo se baila
Señales para líder y seguidor

Líder
From a handhold (typically the leader's left hand to the follower's right), the leader marks the Casino basic a tiempo, opening on count 1; he opens his side and extends the lead arm to send the follower out and present her, keeping light tension to shape her outward path. Over the second half he draws her back in, resolving to the basic or a closed embrace, giving her time to be seen rather than pulling her through.
Seguidor
Mirroring the leader on the opposite foot, the follower marks the Casino basic a tiempo on count 1; following the extended lead she steps out along the led line away from the leader and is displayed, keeping her own footwork and timing. Over the second half she turns to re-face the leader and walks back in, returning to the basic or closed embrace, staying on her own balance rather than being towed.
Tiempo musicalSon and Casino sit at relaxed social tempos — roughly 150-185 bpm comfortable, with 190+ at the faster end. The figure is unhurried by design and favors slower-to-mid tempos that leave room to present the follower; son's traditional feel is relaxed and slightly behind the beat, so the lead-out should breathe rather than rush.

- Leader pulling or yanking the follower out instead of leading with a light, extended arm.

- Follower rushing out and losing her own Casino basic timing.
- Failing to resolve cleanly, leaving the follower stranded instead of returning to the basic or closed embrace.
- Treating Sácala and Exhíbela as different figures when teachers commonly use them for the same action.

- Paséala ('walk her') — a distinct Casino figure where the leader walks the follower around, not a lead-out display.
- Enchúfala — a different Casino call (a turning hook / plug-in), not an exhibition figure.
- Vacílala — a separate Casino styling/display call.
- Cross-body lead (LA On1 / NY On2) — a slot travelling figure, not the circular Casino Sácala.
- Literal 'sácala' = generic 'take it/her out'; it only denotes this figure inside the Casino/rueda call vocabulary.
