  Julia and all the performers in The Cupcake Cabaret and Sumatra Belly Dance group have been absolutely phenomenal to work with! With professionalism, ingenuity, and top echelon talented entertainment these groups continue to deliver an experience like none other at consistently sold out shows. All of the performers in the group are always so kind, respectful, and fun to work with. Thank you for what you do, and I look forward to working with you on several more shows! You all are FANTASTIC! Cheers 🍻

  As a former student I can fully say, this studio is run by a horrible person. She's very rude to her students, cabaret members and other burlesque performers in the area. She's is known to routinely copy other performers/companies ideas and themes. She pretends to be the pentacle of burlesque, all the while she's not even part of the Colorado burlesque community outside of her little bubble she's manufactured and is manipulative and exploitive to dancers under her guidance. Stay away!

  I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with me and starlight studio. If you’re willing to reach out directly via email, I would be happy to apologize and figure out the best way to make amends. As for your statement that my studio is overpriced (which you may have edited out) , our six week sessions of classes are currently $69 with the early bird discount, which works out to $11.50 per class, that is far below industry standard. We also offer plenty of scholarships and work trades if pricing is ever an obstacle for anyone.

  I have been at this studio for years, Starlight Studio is easily the premier dance studio in NoCo. Not only are the classes fun and engaging, but the entire community is incredible and supportive. The classes are welcoming, inclusive, and so much fun you lose track of time. Every student has the chance to perform in the student showcases and feel the taste of that performer life, and there are options to grow in that field with solo creations, workshops, and even the companies. The classes range from Beginning Burlesque, Burlesque Jazz, Striptease 101, Booty and Floor, and multiple levels of Belly Dance, there is an option for everyone. The shows the company produces are also phenomenal, from the full burlesque shows that often sell out, I can not recommend this studio enough. Its hard to find a dancer in the area who hasn't gone through this studio, especially in belly dance or burlesque, we are extremely fortunate to have this amazing artistic resource and amazing human being of Julia being outside of a major city. The friends I have made being here have been life changing to say the least, I am so grateful for the humans I have met and get to work with along the way. I can't say enough good things about this group of people.

  I started dancing at Starlight in 2021 and I can’t express how it changed my life. After just a few sessions, I felt more confident in my body, I held my head higher, and I finally felt like exercise was accessible. After my first student showcase, I was hooked. It has been such an honor to be part of this community and be part of the positive and inclusive culture id sought for so long.

  This studio has one of the most inclusive and genuinely supportive atmospheres that I have ever been. Every day and every event is a celebration of every body who walks in the door. The members make it magical, and the dancefloor is the happiest place in town.
