Beholding them, thrills, engages, captivates, draws, and moves me! I had the sheer pleasure to attend their last performance at the Victoria Theater and once again, they’ve floored me! I will forever be a DCDC Stan…! I’m looking forward to their next performance! If you have never experienced this artistic excellence, cultural significance, with education and community engagement that continues showcasing the rich legacy of African American dance; while also fostering innovation in contemporary dance… you’ve done yourself an disservice! I would like to see less cultural appropriation in the front line, to adhere to DCDC’s leadership in its continuance of promoting African American dancers that brings diverse stories to the stage.

Second oldest minority dance company in the US. second only to the Alvin Ailey company. Characterized by strong athletic performers with the ability to do historic works and the current types of choreography. If you are looking for a powerful dance company to watch or perform for your venue have this company on speed dial.
