  We had such an amazing experience working with Pivot Ballroom for our first dance, and we can’t say enough great things—especially about Vlad. From the very beginning, Vlad made us feel completely comfortable, even though we came in with little to no dance experience. He was incredibly patient, encouraging, and somehow made the entire process fun and stress-free. Vlad has a true talent for breaking things down in a way that feels natural and manageable, and he really took the time to understand our vision and skill level. He choreographed a routine that felt personal, elegant, and totally “us,” without ever feeling overwhelming. By the time our wedding day arrived, we felt confident and genuinely excited to perform. Our guests absolutely loved the dance, and it ended up being one of our favorite moments of the entire day. We are so grateful to Vlad and the Pivot Ballroom team for helping us create such a special memory. Highly recommend to any couple looking to feel confident and have fun with their first dance!

  We are on our honeymoon and would be completely remiss not to take a moment to share our deepest gratitude to John at Pivot Ballroom, who instructed us for 5 lessons for our first dance at the wedding. John was amazing!!! We picked a song that is not very well known and he choreographed a perfect, romantic dance to the music that wowed all of our guests. We had the most amazing time bonding while practicing our dance between lessons too. My husband has been telling his engaged friends that doing a “real” first dance and getting lessons with John is so worth it, and just as fun for the groom even though this was a present for me!

  We cannot recommend John enough. We did the full 6 dance lessons with him to prepare for our wedding first dance, and it was one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. Neither of us had any real dance experience going into this, and John walked us through everything step by step. He created our entire choreography, taught it in a way that felt approachable and fun, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. On our wedding day, the first dance turned out beautifully and surprised so many of our guests. We received endless compliments, and that moment is something we will truly cherish forever. Beyond just the wedding, these lessons gave us skills and confidence that will stick with us for a lifetime. John is patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in his couples. If you are on the fence, do it. Especially if you are beginners like we were. You will not regret it.

  Vlad and John from Pivot Ballroom did an outstanding job helping my daughter and I prepare for our father-daughter dance at her wedding! Vlad created a routine that was extremely learnable (with his patience!), impressed our friends and family, and that really added to the celebration. Strongly recommend!

  We had a couple of dance lessons with John in preparation for our wedding celebration. He was an experienced, patient and amazing teacher. We learned the Viennese waltz and danced with great confidence at our celebration! We highly recommend John.

  John and everyone at Pivot ballroom were incredibly helpful, joyful, and went above and beyond to accommodate our schedules and desires to prepare for our wedding. John was responsive and helped us to feel confident and joyful. He made sacrifices in his own schedule to work with us, when we only gave him about trout or five weeks notice until our wedding! We wouldn’t go anywhere else for group lessons or private dance lessons. Pivot Ballroom is by far the superior studio for everyone’s needs- whether wanting to enjoy some casual and fun dance lessons or preparing for something formal and public!
