My son’s first experience with music instruction. I have two other kids with loads of music and performance experience. This place is great. Very welcoming. My 15 year old wants to be there every night.

Be aware that it is quite expensive, but the value delivered is definitely worth it. My one critical comment is that your child's skill progression can be highly correlated with the group they're paired with. If the group is composed of repeat students, the material they're assigned grows with their skills. If your child is always grouped with rookies each term, they're stuck in a rut of intro-level material. SoR can't really fix this, as they don't determine who enrolls, and the individual lesson teachers seem aware of the problem and try to expose kids to material beyond the set list to compensate. But my kid has expressed a lack of challenge, which I know leads to boredom, discouragement, and misbehavior.

    Response from School of Rock

Hi Erik, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all reviews seriously and appreciate your insights into your child's experience at School of Rock. We're thrilled you find our program valuable! We strive to deliver impactful music education in a fun and enriching environment, and it's always rewarding to hear that our efforts are paying off. We also appreciate your candid insights regarding the group dynamics and its impact on your child's skill progression. We understand the importance of a challenging and engaging musical experience, and we want to assure you that we take this feedback seriously. While we can't control the composition of each group due to varying enrollments, we are committed to continuously improving our programs. Our instructors are aware of the challenges posed by varying skill levels within groups and strive to provide additional exposure to material to address this concern. We encourage an open line of communication between parents, students, and our instructors to ensure that each child's individual needs are met. If your child ever feels the need for more challenge or specific material, please don't hesitate to discuss this directly with us and we will do our best to tailor the lessons accordingly. We genuinely value your input and are dedicated to creating the best possible learning environment for all our students. Thank you for being a part of the School of Rock community, and we look forward to continuing to support your child's musical journey. Best regards, Bea

SoR of Fayetteville is absolutely incredible. The attitude of the instructors and other students is so positive and enthusiastic. Everyone wants to learn and wants to work hard towards that goal. Kevin especially is a rock star, both literally and figuratively. The amount of work, effort, passion, and raw talent he puts forth every day is inspiring.
