In addition to excellent instruction from a master that's taken two beginners miles past where they started in a relatively short time, Westmor has an amazing feeling of history and community. Their group lessons are welcoming and fun, and their holiday events are a great social scene for both new and accomplished dancers in a gorgeous, classic Hollywood space, and open to the public. Even if you've only thought about learning to dance in passing, even if you only want to be able to show off at weddings and parties a little, if you're reading this, take it as a sign and go to a class. The private lesson rates are extremely reasonable and a great way to give it a try. By the end of my first one, I knew I was in it for the long haul.”

• “Westmor Ballroom is located in an unassuming building between the MaDang Courtyard and Mama Lion. Take the elevator up to the third floor and you get a breathtaking view of a grand ballroom lined with tall windows. I have had the joy of learning International Style Latin at Westmor Ballroom for almost 2 years now. As an adult learner, I would recommend Westmor to learn dance technique as well as the opportunity to participate in showcases and evaluations. All teachers have been very supportive of true dance beginners as well as for those who have been dancing for a long time. The community is also warm hearted and shares a love of dance. It does however lean heavily Standard. Along with group classes for Latin and Standard, there is a weekly salsa class, competitive rounds (Standard), and of course wedding couples learning their first dances. Overall I feel supported and witnessed in my dance journey here! Happy dancing! 💃💐”
