  I had two of my very young daughters enrolled here a few years ago. Meghan and Ashley were initially welcoming, but the place is extremely cliquey. I recall asking about the “dance tribe” shirts while they were having a T-shirt sale and Ashley snarled at me and said “these are reserved for the parents that actually help out”; my then husband (now ex, because domestic violence) was the one to take my two littles to class on Saturdays. After recital (which I was present for—including the photo session—they sent one photo to our home with only him and the girls. As a domestic violence survivor, there was so many missed moments here. I was the one who got them to their first recital. I tried. Being beaten down emotionally by Mr. All Star because he charmed two women? Okay. But I would absolutely not trust my girls in an environment where there are mothers running the place who are incapable of recognizing predatory behavior and chastising a mother who is being abused. There. I said it.

  Velocity dance has been so much fun for my son. Ms. Kelli is absolutely phenomenal with all of her students and instills a love and joy of dance so strong that we have to play dance class at home. There are very few opportunities for toddlers to learn movement skills that they need and I love that we found this place.

  We love VDC, the staff is great! Highly recommend this studio, they even have the option to do a free trial class before you sign up!

  Velocity Dance Center is not just your average dance studio. The principles and foundations that Meghan and her staff have implemented set their standards above expectation for their dancers. I have had the joy of watching all 3 of my daughters not only grow as dancers, but also gain self-confidence as individuals and it shows day in and day out. If you are looking for a safe space where your kids can grow and learn from the best, look no further. Meghan & Courtney continue to amaze me with their dedication to continue to learn and expand their teaching talents to the future generations.
