  I had such a great time learning salsa on 2 from Ray and Anabel. I couldn't believe what I had learned to do after 6 weeks. They're great genuine people who want to share their love of dance.

  I started classes at Ray Ray Salsa because I love to dance & wanted to just know more, be a part of a community & to be able to practice consistently. The instructors Ray, Ms Annabel & Isabella have been so great to work with. The environment they create with us students is fun, practical & really prepare you for the social dances where you adapt to others dancing styles. Their availability of 2-3x a week helps you practice & retain all you’ve learned & really builds your confidence. I’m enjoying being a part of this group!

  Hi Jay Jay. This is Annabel, Ray's wife. First let me apologize for not replying sooner. We've been unable to reply to our most recent reviews and it took us a while to figure out why. There were 8 people total in class the night you visited. Two of them were you and your dance partner. Two of them were *new* students, there for their second Salsa class ever. The last two students were students who have been with us for many months. Making eight, were myself and my daughter, Isabella, who was your teacher that night. It was a very small class. If it felt clique-y it may have been because my husband is the Lead Instructor (although he wasn't there that night), my daughter is a Salsa apprentice. and we tend to make friends with our faithful students who we see each week. I'd like to extend the same offer that my husband extended to your dance partner (in the email that I promptly sent her after her two-star review), a free Private Lesson with my husband Ray valued at $75.   It was my first time there, and I’m new to salsa. Unfortunately, I felt really uncomfortable tonight. I declined to consent to photography just for privacy reasons (although any reason should have been valid), and the older woman teaching the class called me out at least 5 times in front of the rest of the class for this. She seemed like she was trying to get others to join in mocking me. It seemed like I had really offended her. People shouldn’t be bullied into consenting to pictures. I felt really disrespected. It’s a shame. :( I was excited to continue more classes. We won’t be back.

  Hi Victoria. This is Annabel, Ray's wife and I am the woman you are referring to. As with Jay Jay, first let me apologize for not replying here sooner. We've been unable to reply to our most recent online reviews and it took us a while to figure out why. I hope you saw my prompt email reply. As per my email, I appreciate your feedback. I see that we didn't meet your expectations. We do require a consent to photography & videography for marketing purposes. If some students consent and some don't,, I wouldn't be able to keep up with who I can and can't photograph or record. To make it up to you, the offer from my husband (in my email) for a free Private Lesson with him, valued at $75, still stands. There are many other wonderful Salsa studios in Oklahoma City. I'm sure you'll find one that you'll love, if not ours. They may have a different policy that is more in line with your values. I will add (this was not in my email, but I have thought more about it since) that I can understand how you may have felt "called out" and for that I apologize. It may have been in my effort to try and accommodate your request for not photos/videos. It was not my intent. For this reason I remain confident in our policy.
