Live example

Ocho's, Boise

A 21+ bar in downtown Boise hosts a weekly Friday Salsa/Bachata social. Dancers see capacity (80), dress code ("shoes that let you pivot"), the 30-min Bachata + 30-min Salsa beginner lesson at 7pm, every payment method accepted, the pre-pay link, and 5 FAQ answers — all on one page.

What you get

Made for venues that host, not teach

  • Your venue, your calendar

Every Friday at Ocho's. Every other Wednesday at Lava Lounge. Recurring socials get a permanent home — not 52 separate Facebook events.

  • Match with a teaching partner

Don't have a resident instructor? Bailar surfaces nearby studios who teach the style your night plays — Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba — and connects you for the pre-class slot.

  • Drink revenue stays yours

You keep 100% of the bar tab and the cover. The lesson partner keeps their lesson cut. Bailar only takes a fee on tickets you sell through our checkout — and only when you opt in.

  • Discovery you can't buy on Meta

Dancers searching 'salsa near me' land on your venue page directly — not on a Facebook event a week before. SEO + dedicated /venues directory + map pin.

  • Track the floor

Capacity, dress code, age policy, payment methods, FAQ — all surfaced upfront so first-timers show up ready. Reduces bar-side friction and walk-outs.

  • No commission on bar or cover

Free venue listing. No exclusivity. Bar tab and door cover stay 100% yours — Bailar's only fee is the flat 10% on tickets sold through us, and only if you turn ticketing on.

Blue ocean

The venue ↔ teaching-studio graph

No competitor models the partnership cleanly. Resident Advisor, Eventbrite, Meetup, Mindbody, ClassPass, Yelp Events, Bandsintown — every one of them treats the venue and the teacher as the same row, or omits one of them entirely.

On Bailar, every event surfaces Hosted at [Venue] · Lesson by [Studio]. Both are linked. Dancers click through to discover both, and the partnership earns trust on both sides.

FAQ

Common questions

  • What does 'free' actually mean?

Free to list, free to keep your page, free for dancers to discover you. We never take a cut of your bar tab, your lesson revenue, or your door cover. The only time we charge is if you opt into selling tickets through Bailar's checkout — flat 10% per ticket sold through us, payout straight to your Stripe account, no setup fee, no monthly subscription. Bailar's revenue comes from studio subscriptions and that ticketing fee — your venue page itself is free forever.

  • Do I need a partner studio to list?

No. Plenty of venues just host an open social with no formal class. The 'No partner needed' badge actually helps — beginners see it and feel safer showing up solo.

  • We already have a Facebook page / Eventbrite — why add Bailar?

Bailar dancers are looking for Latin specifically. They search by style + city, not by venue name. The dedicated /venues surface plus map placement gets you in front of dancers who'd never find your FB page in a feed.

  • Can I edit my venue page?

Claim your venue and you control the copy, photos, FAQ, dress code, payment methods, capacity, and the partner-studio link. Email partnerships@bailar.site to claim.

  • What about cruise terminals / hotels / event halls?

All welcome. Anything that has a dance floor and hosts socials — bars, lounges, ballrooms, restaurants, hotels, churches, community centers, cruise terminals, festival halls.
