The Morning Show - Lemon face challenge. Bom Funk families take the Lemon face challenge in support of their friend, 5yr-old Annabelle Potts, who has been battling brain cancer.

Our final day in Japan was spent travelling from Osaka to Tokyo, then onward from Tokyo to Brisbane, and finally home to Canberra.✈️ We had a short window in the morning for some last-minute sightseeing and shopping, soaking up the final moments of our time in Japan. 🇯🇵✨ What an incredible tour — full of performances, experiences, and memories we’ll always share with our dance family. ❤️

Our Troupe students from Inferno, Ignite, Blaze & Embers had an amazing weekend learning all their routines for the competition season ahead! We were so impressed by their focus, determination, and passion… and there was still time for lots of fun moments too! Huge thanks to our Troupe Leaders — Miss Kym, Miss Amy, Miss Zoe, Miss Shekiralea, Miss Chloe — and special guest choreographer, Poppy Donaldson from Melbourne, for working with our teams! ✨ 4 teams | 14 hours of dance | 11 routines completed ✨ We can’t wait to see these routines shine on stage this year!

Our final full day in Japan was spent at Universal Studios Japan! While you’re not allowed to film on the rides, you’ll get plenty of banter, laughs and recaps as some of our dancers share what they got up to throughout the day... Such a fun way to wrap up our last full day together in Japan!✨

Day 7 was all about performance and dance inspiration. We spent the day at A-Sh Studios, taking part in J-Pop workshops learning from @miyapi_slc. That evening, we attended the Takarazuka show in their incredible theatre — an unforgettable experience and a huge source of inspiration for our dancers. 🎭✨ The night wrapped up with free time in Osaka, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the city at our own pace.

A huge day on tour. We caught the Shinkansen to Osaka, heading straight to World Expo. Our performance time was moved earlier, and with record attendance of over 240,000 people, the crowds were like nothing we’d ever seen. Rain rolled in, umbrellas went up everywhere and what was meant to be a short walk across the site turned into a long, slow push through the crowds. Our dancers arrived just in time to perform. With limited space, no proper rehearsal, and a uniquely different stage setup, the dancers went on and absolutely delivered. The crowd was massive — packed as far as the eye could see, with people watching from the top of the ring. The response was overwhelming and incredibly emotional. After the show, we were lucky enough to visit the Australia Pavilion as VIPs and explore what we could amongst the crowds. One of the proudest and most memorable days of the tour — performing on a world stage made every challenge worth it.

Day 5 took us out of Tokyo and to the base of Mt Fuji! We travelled by bus to Fuji-Q Highlands, where our dancers completed a brief rehearsal before performing two shows at Fuji Q Highlands themepark, surrounded by rollercoasters and mountain views. 🎭✨ After the performances, there was time to explore the park, enjoy the rides and take in the incredible scenery. 🎢🌬️ The day continued with a visit to Chureito Pagoda, where the group climbed the 400 steps and were rewarded with a stunning view of Mt Fuji — a rare and unforgettable sight. 🏔️⛩️ We wrapped up the day with the bus journey back to Tokyo / our last night in the city. ✨ #BomFunkDanceStudio #BomFunkJapanTour2025 #AustralianDanceCreative #FujiQHighlands #MountFuji #JapanVlog #DanceTour #BomFunkOnTour #DanceAustralia

We spent an incredible few hours at DanceWorks Tokyo, where our dancers split into two groups — one participating in a contemporary/jazz workshop with Daiki Miyauchi (Tom Sensei), and the other in a hip hop workshop with Asaki. Everyone absolutely loved learning from these inspiring and talented teachers! 🙌 After the workshops, it was time for some well-earned free time! ☀️ We headed to Harajuku, exploring the beautiful Meiji Jingu Temple and the vibrant Takeshita Street — complete with animal cafés, crepes, and all things kawaii! 🐰🍓🎀 In the evening, our group split off for more adventures — some joined a Tokyo night bike tour, others explored the stunning Art Aquarium, and a few of the brave Bom Funk teachers took to the streets of Tokyo in their souped up go-karts! 🏎️💨 A day full of creativity, culture, and unforgettable fun! ❤️ #BomFunkDanceStudio #BomFunkJapanTour2025 #AustralianDanceCreative #DanceWorksTokyo #Harajuku #TakeshitaStreet #TokyoAdventures #DanceVlog #BomFunk
