  When I started diva dance I was struggling to get out of bed/leave the house and I hadn’t been able to get myself to exercise in YEARS— absolutely changed my life— I go almost every day now and it has given me something to look forward to, which has been such a hard thing for me to find. I have gotten so much stronger and feel so much more comfortable in my body. Such such such a great place couldn’t recommend more!! Thank you diva dance!!!

  Absolutely LOVE diva dance and the staff in Austin is literally amazing. I love everyone here, it’s such an amazing community and yes they are guy friendly ;)

  I was really sad about the atmosphere in one of the classes I attended. I took a Pom class a while ago and the instructor seemed great. However, during the class, she split us into two lines for the dance and a lot of people were unhappy with their placement. Keep in mind this is just an hour class and it doesn’t matter who stands where. I’m 5’9”, so I understand that to some I might seem tall, but it was disheartening how some of the other students reacted. The people behind me were openly saying things like, “Great, I can’t see behind her,” and one girl even looked me in the eyes and said, “Great, now I’m going to have to overcompensate being next to you.” It made me feel really uncomfortable as I can’t control my Size or someone else and the formation didn’t really matter it just so happened to be where I was standing in the room at the time the teacher made the two lines. This only happened for a small part of the routine, maybe one or two eight counts, yet it completely changed the energy of the class for me. The instructor encourages switching lines throught learning which I did. The passive aggressive comments took away from what should’ve been a fun and empowering experience. I know Diva Dance promotes an inclusive and supportive environment, which I really value, but this class left me feeling unwelcome. I haven’t gone back since because those same girls seemed to be regulars. I hope sharing this helps create awareness so others don’t have to feel discouraged or singled out for things they can’t control.

  Taking a DivaDance class is my favorite part of the week. Its a low pressure, and confidence boosting experience with great instructors! Shout out to Shelby at DivaDance HQ for always making class so fun and welcoming! She has a fantastic energy, and always does a great job breaking down the choreo. Highly recommended!

  Signed up for class online. It took payment information and class selection. Thought I was enrolled. Nope. The lady at the front desk didn't see my registration and didn't invite me to stay. There's a second step to the process. Maddening. The website is horrible. Why won't the company invest in a better website? I was looking forward to the experience they advertise, but it didn't happen. They should be more welcoming to new people.

As mentioned we have no record of a class sign up, which led to confusion with our staff on site as well.
