  Place takes way too long to respond to emails. I once emailed at the start of june and I had just received a response at the end of the month — literally insane. I had recently sent an email regarding crew auditions and titling it [URGENT] which I still haven’t received a response. It’s been days.. Communication wise is poor.

  Hi Stella, Empire Studios is not an on-demand service. We operate within our published office hours and scheduled closure periods, including our annual break, which has been communicated via our website and social channels as 15 December - 12 January 26.   Claire (the owner) has built such a comfortable and encouraging space for dancers at any level. Everyone is treated with respect, and the studios are always tidy, affordable, and roomy. I’ve been dancing here for years and couldn’t recommend it more.

  I swear this place never gets cleaned - floors specifically. Every time I come here my clothes are covered in dust; my white socks are black and my black clothes are white, you can see the dust and dirt on the floor. Also I find it super weird that there aren’t any bins?

  I was lucky enough to find Claire and Empire Studios as a 20 year old ex-athlete looking for something new to explore, just hoping that dance might be a part of a new direction. Not only did Claire help me fall in love with dance throughout a decade, the opportunities that Empire brought about, from performing in front of sold-out Eden Park test matches and over 100,000 people at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, were beyond my wildest expectations. Claire is the most inspiring, generous and gifted teacher who gives everything to her craft and her students, and I could not recommend anyone more highly!

  Empire is the most inclusive dance studio we have ever been to. Welcomed with open arms into the dance family that is Empire. Thanks for making a safe place for our daughter to grow and learn
