  The teachers are very sweet, very patient and wonderful! We have a lot of fun there, learning, dance, doing yoga, dance fitness, balance & strengthening classes and socialising!!

  So much more than just a dance studio! The staff and Corinne are very supportive and just fun good-hearted people. You won’t even realize how much you are learning and improving because of how much fun you’ll be laughing!! And this translates to all the other students. They have cultivated a beautiful community that creates a fun, relaxed environment to learn how to dance. Plus there are so many other classes and activities offered, that it’s more than your typical dance studio!

  Corinne Rungo’s Clearwater Dance Depot provides much more than just dance. The Dance Depot is an excellent Clearwater resource. The Depot offers a complete experience with social activities, yoga, assisted stretching, health management, and dance in a friendly, fun environment. The Depot is a place where people of all ages and skill levels come not just to learn dance, but also for social interaction with other like-minded individuals. Our monthly potluck dinners and guest events are always packed with good food and social interaction. All of this is at a price point that is MOST REASONABLE given the amount and content of the instruction and participation levels available. I came into Clearwater Dance to learn Salsa. To date, I’ve learned the basics of seventeen dances from Waltz to Salsa and Foxtrot to 2-Step. The instructions are excellent! In order to develop skills as a leader, we started competing locally two months after I joined the Depot which led to travels aboard to ship to the Caribbean and Alaska, participation in events throughout Florida, and an amazing experience in Argentina. Corinne also provides opportunities to mix with other dancers in choreographed dance. A challenging undertaking, she has proven a talented artist blending music and movement to rhythm and smooth dance that provides opportunities to advance dancing skills and demonstrate the joy of dance to the Clearwater Community. All of the Dance Depot activities are mutually beneficial. The yoga and stretch as well as her version of Dance Fitness (Rungo Dance Fitness – RDF) are tailored to the individual. Fitness classes range from high intensity to balance and control. The balance classes are especially welcome as we are taught movement and skills that are critical to the aging process. All of the RDF classes serve to reinforce and teach skills that we use in the dance environment. She has incorporated live percussion music into the programs with her brother Jim and as a team, teach us basic principles of music theory and “music for dancers.” RDF to the beat of a talented drummer is an excellent way to listen and learn. As an added benefit, Corinne has established a non-profit organization to provide life skills and social interaction to students with special needs. Her “Twinklers” learn skills from experienced volunteers who receive as well as give instruction in a host of topics. These skills help all of us as they become immersed in the local community, participating as skilled workers and ambassadors of goodness. The Twinklers serve as host and hostesses to our social events and participate in our frequent dance competitions. They are a delightful group that provide joy and enrich our dance and social experiences through their always positive attitudes. They have become an integral part of our lives. Clearwater Dance Depot is a full-service organization that provides for mental, physical, and spiritual development. I’m happy to talk to the health benefits that I’ve realized at CDD as the environment has proven exceptional for me. I highly encourage participation in the Dance Depot. As I age, I’m reminded of the adage that a “body in motion stays in motion”. Clearwater Dance is an outstanding venue to achieve that goal.

  If you want to, need to or just want to polish up your dance skills you need to speak to Corinne Rungo at the Clearwater Dance Depot. Corinne knowledge of dance goes to her mom and dad. They taught her well, but it didn’t stop there. Their love for each other, Corinne and life were transferred into Corinne’s heart. This is where we benefit. She makes learning easy, because it from her heart! The road that she has paved has no “potholes”. I stopped by about two years ago and I have been there ever since. Frankie Ranno
