Becoming a verified instructor
What we look for in applications, how long review takes, and the Founding 100 rate.
Verified instructors show up in search with a badge, can take private lesson bookings through Bailar, and lock in the Founding 100 rate: 5% platform fee, forever for the first 100 verified.
Founding 100 — 5% forever
Bailar takes 5% of every lesson for the first 100 verified instructors, locked in for life. After the 100th verified instructor goes live, the default rate rises to 10% for new instructors — but the founding cohort never pays more than 5%.

Who qualifies
We look for three things:
- Teaching experience. A few years of consistent teaching — socials, group classes, privates, congresses — any combination works.
- Community presence. Reviews, references, or an existing student base. We're not gatekeeping — we're verifying you're a real person students trust.
- A clean background. Standard screening for anyone handling private sessions with new students.
How to apply
Open the app and go to Profile → Become an Instructor. You'll fill in:
- Styles you teach
- Cities where you take bookings
- 2–3 references (other instructors, studio owners, long-term students)
- A 60-second video introducing yourself (optional, but helps)
Review time
Most applications get a decision within 3–5 business days. If we need more info we'll email; don't take silence for rejection.
After verification
You unlock:
- The verified badge on your profile
- Booking calendar + payment link
- Your instructor page on bailar.site (e.g.,
bailar.site/instructors/your-name) — public by default unless you opt out - 5% platform fee, forever (Founding 100 rate)
