  Very professional, funny, and positive demeanor! This guy is THE salsa guy. Best classes in Des Moines. Join Salsa Sundays at Vibes Kitchen at 7pm!! It's so great for beginners. I was nervous but he had me dancing comfortably midway into the lesson! He is quick to help you with any adjustments and makes sure everyone is comfortable in his classes.

  I've been taken classes at 26th St. Latin Dance for almost a year, there is a reason why people keep coming back, the instructor, the group, the opportunity to keep going and keep practicing, your always learning something new and it's just so much fun! Worth every penny!

  I’ve been taking lessons with Zahar since 2021, and he has genuinely transformed the way I move. What first felt like an intimidating dance became simple and intuitive under his guidance. His coaching style is incredibly encouraging. He has a way of breaking things down so they feel achievable, and he creates an environment where you want to keep learning and improving. The dance community he’s built is very welcoming also. Zahar could transform ANYONE into a great dancer.

  I've been attending classes with 26th Latin dance since April of this year and I've had a wonderful experience I've learned so much and I love how the classes are created I a way that it nurtures all dancers regardless of their skill level! Plus I've got to be part of a community that radiates positivity and love for Latin dancing Zahar and Maideli have so much love and passion for teaching I would always recommend dor anyone who like me wants to reconnect with their Latin heritage

  Zahar is a gifted teacher and dancer. His classes and events are so enjoyable - I leave them feeling full and happy, and that I’ve learned something each time. Not only is Zahar a fantastic dance teacher, he is a wonderful human being. The community he’s created with 26th St Latin Dance is a testament to this. 100/100 would recommend anyone thinking about learning to dance to give 26th St Latin Dance a shot

  Zahar and Maideli are the best people to learn Salsa and Bachata, and they have the best dance studio in Des Moines Area. With combination of well structured classes and a full line up of social events, they provide the experience like no other. 10/10 recommend!
