GoogleI’ve taken both the Beginner and Advanced Beginner salsa classes with Haj and Layla, and they’ve been exactly what I was looking for as someone wanting to learn Salsa On2 (New York style). Haj and Layla are amazing teachers—clear, patient, and genuinely fun to learn from. They teach the techniques and moves you can actually use at a social, and they break everything down step-by-step so you understand how and why it works, not just what to do. I also really appreciate that they repeat key fundamentals from class to class (like left and right turns, spot turns, etc.). It can feel challenging at first, but that repetition is what makes the technique stick and helps you improve faster. Each class includes both footwork and partner work, which keeps it engaging and never boring. On top of that, the vibe in the room is fantastic—everyone’s smiling, learning, and having fun. Since starting these classes, I’ve become a much better follower, and I’m truly grateful we have such strong Salsa On2 teachers here in Maine. Highly recommend!
