“In the past, we've tried a few of the "most advertised" studios (both Murray & Astair) After chexking out Social Dance Studio 45, we have finally found a great place for social dancing. We have been taking lessons and going dancing with this crew since June 2024. This group teaches the dances you want to learn and skips the ones not relevant to you. We drive from Cypress to Woodlands for class each week. Yeah! We like the environment and instructors that much! In past studios we tried, we would be taught 10 min of one dance, 10 min of another and 10 min of a 3rd one....never getting proficient in anything we wanted to learn. They picked the dance and keep you coming back.(at 10, 15, 40 lesson packages @ $145/lesson). That's not how Studio 45 works. Social Dance 45 has an environment where you can see quick progress on what you want to learn. You meet others that enjoy what you like. This Studio has a wide rnge of ages from 20s & 30's to 60's & 70's...and every age group in between. We enjoy the private & group classes. Frequently a group of us will go dancing (Rowdy's, Whiskey River, Firehorse...etc) for fun on Wednesday or Saturday nights. Some of the instructors go as well and will give us tips in how to fix what you're working on. They have an introductory lesson if you're curious. Give it a try! You might like it.”
