GoogleThrough all of the stress of wedding planning, Walker Ballroom Dance was our stress relief! No matter how we were feeling leading up to our lesson, we always had fun and felt less stressed after it. My husband and I signed up for dance lessons with Derek for our first dance and he was incredible! Derek might have been the best teacher I’ve had in anything - he is patient, knowledgeable, never makes you feel dumb, and laughs with you. He truly loves his job and makes the lessons that much more fun! His hours for private lessons are super flexible and this worked really well for both of us who rotate shift work! As two people with no dance experience, he met us where we were but we still had a first dance that was elegant, charming, and a dazzling. We tried for months prior to lessons to do a dip and Derek had us master it in one class! Derek brought our vision to exactly what we wanted and edited our song to make it the perfect length. He also helped us with parent dances and our wedding entrance. We loved our experience at Walker Ballroom Dance and hope to come back soon for one of their group classes!

GoogleMy fiance and I had the greatest opportunity to try out Derek’s complimentary first wedding dance lesson to go over our vision and dancing abilities. Derek was a gem and took our (limited) dancing abilities as anything but a barrier to what we were aiming to achieve for our first dance! My fiance who feels more insecure about finding rhythm to a dance as challenging as salsa left the lesson feeling confident that he could find the beat after just ONE lesson with Derek! If you’re looking for the right studio to learn your first dance that is both accessible and exciting, you have to choose Walker Ballroom Dance!!
