  The dance is run by USA Dance Houston Chapter 5003 every 2nd Saturday, a non profit organization. Also on the 5th Saturday of the month if there is one. Cover charge is 20 USD. Mostly ballroom type including American and International styles. Some salsa, mambo, bachata, west coast swing here and there. Clean environment to dance and mingle. Good Houston ballroom dancers gather here monthly to dance. There is exhibitions at half time by local amateur dancers. Parking is limited and cover charge is rather high are reasons for one star off...

  Enrolled my daughter in a summer ballet class. She enjoyed it a lot! Loved that the instructor was very patient with my active 3 year old.

  Inscribí a mi hija a clases de ballet en esta escuela y la verdad la maestra no les enseña nada ni les pone atención a las niñas, si no quieren perder su dinero mejor busquen otra escuela!

  Dear Ms. Cardenas, We spoke to our dance instructor about your child. She remembers her very well. Your daughter attended ballet class in Fall 2023 and performed in our 2023 Holiday Dance Showcase. She was the youngest (3 years old) in her class of 10 girls. Despite being the youngest student, our teacher feels that your daughter did a very good job in classes and during dance showcase performance. As for the attention to the girls in class, our teacher does not feel that over correcting a particular child at that age would have a positive result because they are still in early stage of learning and may feel shamed, embarrassed or being picked on. However, our teacher does pay a lot of attention to the class. During classes our teacher does focus on explanations and repetition, something that young children need to learn. Closer to the dance showcase the teacher normally creates a video tutorial for the performance choreography. The link to this video is sent to all parents. Some parents use this to help give their child additional guidance at home near the date of the performance. Also, with more than 20 years of teaching experience our ballet instructor is open to suggestions and listens to parents if they have specific requests. Moreover she speaks fluent Spanish. We apologize if at some point you felt that your daughter was not performing up to your expectations. She is very young and capable child based on her performance in class and during the dance showcase. Given time she can learn a lot. We wish her a bright dance future! ************************************************ Estimada Sra. Cárdenas, Hablamos con nuestra instructora de baile sobre su hija. La recuerda muy bien. Su hija asistió a clases de ballet en el otoño de 2023 y actuó en nuestro Showcase de danza navideña de 2023. Era la más joven (3 años) de su clase de 10 niñas. A pesar de ser la alumna más joven, nuestra maestra siente que su hija hizo un muy buen trabajo en las clases y durante la presentación de baile. En cuanto a la atención a las niñas en clase, nuestra maestra no cree que corregir demasiado a un niño en particular a esa edad tenga un resultado positivo porque todavía están en una etapa temprana de aprendizaje y pueden sentirse avergonzados, intimidados o molestados. Sin embargo, nuestra profesora sí presta mucha atención a la clase. Durante las clases nuestra maestra utiliza en las explicaciones mucha repetición, algo que los niños pequeños necesitan para aprender. Más cerca del espectáculo de danza, la maestra normalmente crea un vídeo tutorial para la coreografía de la actuación. El enlace a este vídeo se envía a todos los padres. Algunos padres utilizan esto para ayudar a brindar a sus hijos orientación adicional en casa cerca de la fecha de la actuación. Además, con más de 20 años de experiencia docente, nuestra instructora de ballet está abierta a sugerencias y escucha a los padres si tienen solicitudes específicas. Además habla español con fluidez.   Great instructors! They’ve been teaching for several years and ever since the beginning that I’ve known them, they’ve been passionate, skilled, great instructors. I hope everyone tries their dance classes so that can learn something. I picked up cha-cha-cha and was starting to learn salsa put my partner unfortunately couldn’t make it anymore

  I don't take lessons here but I go to the Second Saturday dances. Always fun. Lots of great dancers. The performances are always profesional and entertaining as well.

  We purchased a private dancing lesson and first class went great but we couldn’t come back for personal reasons. We get back on track and come in to class (we were 15 min late due to work) to continue our dancing and I show the wife and husband a song we want to practice to and she immediately threw a fit because she misunderstood. She thought we wanted a choreography done at that moment. It’s obvious, nobody can come with it in seconds. We felt so uncomfortable how she raised her voice and laughed like we made a joke so we decided to walk away. I don’t recommend. She is not an understanding person at all.
