Bailar
Madrid Latin dance scene at twilight

Madrid, Spain

{city} şəhərində Latin rəqsi
Madrid.

Salsa, bachata, kizomba — non-stop, every district, every night.

Madrid runs more Latin dance per week than any city in Europe. The combination of a massive Latin American immigrant population — Colombian, Venezuelan, Cuban, Dominican, Peruvian — and a Spanish public that takes salsa and bachata seriously means there's a social happening somewhere every night, deep into the morning.

Lavapiés and Embajadores hold the more local, Latin American–community-driven floors. Malasaña and Chueca run the trendier sensual bachata and urban kiz nights. Salamanca and Chamartín have the bigger ballroom-style salsa rooms. Bachata dominicana, salsa cubana, salsa-on-2, and kizomba all have separate circuits with separate regulars — and most weeks have multiple festival-grade nights overlapping.

Madrid starts late. A social listed for 23:00 fills around 00:30 and peaks at 02:00. Eat dinner late, nap if you have to, and don't show up at 22:30 expecting a packed floor. The scene is welcoming to visitors but expects you to keep its hours.
